The Biggest Award in Parade of Homes History
Last night, October 17th was a night to remember!
The Clark County Building Industry Association gathered at The Heathman Lodge for the 2019 NW Natural Parade of Homes Awards Ceremony presented by Dewils and Homestreet Bank. What began as a relaxed social hour soon became an exciting and suspenseful waiting game as the crowded room anticipated this year’s award winning home announcements.

The Crowded Heathman Lodge Filled with Clark County Building Industry Professionals Eagerly Awaits This Year’s Winners.
The Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and The River’s Point - both by Cascade West - were very well-received during the initial VIP Night and Parade Opening, some attendees said things like, “Oh my god! You have to come see this house!”, “STUNNING!” (a few times actually) and even “I'm never leaving this house!” — which, hey who can blame them?
But alas, the Parade came to a close on September 22nd and the votes were in, waiting to be tallied.
The Announcements got underway and they did not disappoint!
In a Clark County Parade of Homes first, Cascade West’s ‘The Aurora’ (pictured below) swept every single home design category voted on by the industry professionals - something that has never happened in over 40 years of local homebuilding history.
The crystal sculpture signifies more than an incredible, custom, open-concept home. It signifies the appreciation for craft, thoughtful design and distinctive styling that Cascade West has become known for throughout the community as well as the recognition from our peers and partners that a new level of homebuilding status has been achieved.

As the night continued, so did the reception of awards for The Aurora.
Public attendees for the Parade continued to favor The Aurora and ended up voting for it enough to achieve 4 more awards, including the following: Best Landscaping, Best Entertainment Room, Best Outdoor Living Area, and the coveted Best of Show!
In total the number of honors & awards reached 13!
